About Me & This Space
I created The Art Sanctuary as a place where creativity supports emotional wellbeing and inner balance.

I'm the founder of The Art Sanctuary — a space created to support emotional wellbeing through creativity, gentle practices, and connection.
My journey with art began early. I trained in art school, and throughout my life creativity has always stayed with me — not just as something I enjoy, but as a way to ground myself and make sense of things.
I worked as an English teacher in Ukraine and Poland, where I often brought art into my lessons to help students feel more relaxed, engaged, and confident. It became a natural way to support people beyond just learning — especially in moments of stress or pressure.
Over time, my work naturally shifted towards emotional support. I've spent several years in demanding, high-pressure roles in the UK — including working within the council as a refugee and language support officer. In these environments, I supported individuals navigating stress, uncertainty, and major life changes, which shaped how I hold space for people today.
I also have experience working, supporting, and teaching young people from different countries in a college setting. This deepened my understanding of cultural adjustment, emotional pressure, and the importance of feeling safe and understood.
Alongside this, I am currently training in counselling skills and studying for a Master's degree in Psychology. I am also trained in Mental Health First Aid which supports my ability to recognise and respond appropriately when someone may be struggling.
The Art Sanctuary grew from this path — as a space where people can slow down, express themselves, and feel safe, supported, and free from pressure or expectation.
Why I created this space
I created The Art Sanctuary as a space for people who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply in need of a pause.
Through my work supporting others in high-stress environments, I saw how much people needed a gentle, creative way to slow down and reconnect with themselves.
These workshops are not about being "good at art" — they are about giving yourself time, space, and support.

What to expect
Workshops at The Art Sanctuary are designed as a calm, welcoming space where you can step away from daily pressure and reconnect with yourself through creativity.
This is not about artistic skill or performance.
It's about process, expression, and feeling.
Each session combines:
• creative practices (painting, intuitive expression)
• gentle guidance and reflection
• grounding and breathing practices
No experience is needed — just openness to explore.
